- חַרְשָׁא, חֵירְשָׁאch. sam(חרש ḥeresh). Targ. Ex. 4:11; a. fr.Pl. חֵרְשִׁין, חַרְשַׁיָּא. Targ. Is. 56:10; a. e.Y.Ber.IX, end, 14d כל חרשייא טביןוכ׳ Var. (v. כַּדָּבָא) all dumb (silent) persons are good, but those silent (abstaining) from reciting the Law are bad.
